Barry Stephenson5 StarSo our house was struck by lightning ⚡️ near the end of June and burned badly. We were inundated with so many restoration companies and adjusters as we’re standing there watching our house burn. We didn’t choose any of those ambulance chasers.
Instead we were recommended to Service Masters and we have had zero regrets. Max Kuntz and his team Marta, Mirna, Erika, Alicia and a handful of others took great care of what could be salvaged and cleaned. We had no idea how to proceed next. They explained the process so well and put our minds to ease. They will be storing all that could be pulled out of the house until it is time to move back in a year from now. Michael Walsh1 StarRun, do not walk. The technicians sent to fix my home after a pipe burst repeatedly delayed work, lied to us about repair timelines, and tried to use my wife and I's religion to manipulate us. They made fun of my wife and mother, to my face.
What's worse, we discovered that during the repairs they had put cardboard under our floors, concealed mold, concealed other damage, failed to properly level my floors, and failed to re-insulate our exterior wall. They tried to use my wife and I's religion to manipulate us and they made fun of my wife and mother.
We even discovered this subcontractor had been harassing the original vendors.
Corporate tried sending someone else to fix it but refused to get in touch with us after we tried letting them know the fix did not work. We had to hire another contractor and ServiceMaster won't reimburse us for the out-of-pocket cost we paid. They offered to try and have a six-month old tile invoice be forwarded to us; asking my wife and I to become their bill collectors (and for less than a quarter of what we were asking for). The owner of the company, Dan Fry, even admitted on the phone this invoice was "somewhat arbitrary".
They are aware that more damage exists throughout the home and they refuse to fix it.Friday 13th September 2024
